Easter 2022. Another exciting day at Academy Care Ltd.
What a fantastic start to Easter! In March 2022, we received an email from WakefieldBid, asking if any companies would be interested in taking part in some Easter fun. Academy Care answered that call!
The Easter Bunny found his way into our Wakefield Office to hide over 250 chocolates, which the office team turned up to hunt! Our Winner Nicole found over 40 of them! Taking away one extra-large egg.
This was followed by a month-long threat of a big race. Academy Care Ltd, represented by the Bunny, raced Throwback Coffee House, represented by a carrot. Unfortunately, despite the rigorous training - in the gym, with carrots and spoons and his duo Joanne for the three-legged race... we lost. Grand victory by Lucy at Throwback.
The race started outside the Academy Care Ltd office, a 150m sprint, into a carrot and spoon race, into a three legged race, and one final sprint to the finish line.
We ended the afternoon by walking around Wakefield with the Bunny, visiting local businesses, and meeting loads of the public. A special visit to Scope Wakefield and Second Chance.
Our community teams and service users all received a chocolate egg hamper, unfortunately not delivered by the Easter Bunny but by our wonderful Field Supervisor Team.
Our carers and clients all give wonderful feedback about the little chocolate hampers. Thank you Christine for spending time crocheting all these gifts.
While venturing around Wakefield, our Easter Bunny handed out 100 little crocheted bunnies.
We definitely have an amazing team and work culture.
