What can be included in your Personal Care Service?
Bathing, Dressing and Meeting Hygiene Needs
Our carers are adept in helping clients to look and feel their best. Our uncompromising standards of quality mean that we always strive to leave our clients clean and fresh. We understand that this enhances mental and physical wellbeing by helping them to feel better about their appearance.
Mobility Assistance
We understand that the ability to get out and about provides both physical and mental health benefits to our clients, whilst enhancing their overall enjoyment of life. Particular health benefits of staying active includes increased stamina and lower blood pressure. We can help our clients to maintain an active lifestyle by providing support with mobility.
Toileting and Incontinence Care
Our carers work to our service standards and expectations to compassionately and sensitively maintain your dignity and encourage self-esteem whilst performing the duties of their role. We can schedule specific visits to assist with all toileting and incontinence needs. This offers peace of mind and ensures cases of incontinence are dealt with as soon as possible, avoiding any damage to the skin.
Assistance with Feeding and Special Diets
Some people might need assistance with feeding themselves for a number of reasons. This loss of independence can be difficult to accept. Our carers understand the importance of sustenance and hydration in maintaining the health and wellbeing of our clients. Additionally, we can help ensure our clients stay on prescribed diets in order to control or prevent certain medical conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes.
Transferring and Positioning
A key part of our staff training is moving and handling individuals. All of our carers are expertly trained to this endeavour. Your support plan will inform us about how to transfer and move you in a way that is safe and maintains your correct and natural posture. This not only promotes health and safety but maintains proper functioning of the body’s anatomy, avoiding damage and/or discomfort. Other benefits include reducing pressure areas on the skin, reducing muscle weakening and stiffening and encouraging proper breathing and digestion.
Dressing Guidance
Dressing suitably for events, occasions and family visits improves your personal dignity and morale. However, if you have a physical problem, finding the right clothing and dressing yourself can be a significant challenge. We can help you in both of these concerns.
