Academy Care Ltd offers care in Barnsley, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Leeds, Lincoln, Sheffield and Rotherham, Wakefield, and York. Millan set the company up in 2019 after working for other care companies and vowing to improve the quality of care offered in the Wakefield district. As a service we offer support and care to people in their own homes, whom for reasons of ill health or disability can benefit from long- or short-term care. 

 

Our care workers are highly trained, receiving national level two training in Moving and Handling, Medication Awareness and First Aid at Work. We have specialist classroom training available if your care needs require. Our training is complimented by a further 161 available eLearning courses, of which 17 are mandatory; these include: Food Hygiene Level Two, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Person-Centred Care. 

 

We have a full-time nurse based out of your local office, this means that in the event you require complex care requirements, we can ensure you receive the same level of care, by the same members of staff. We achieve this by arranging our nurse to visit during your scheduled time to train the professional care worker in your specific care requirements.
