Whilst Academy Care aim to fulfil all the needs of our clients, providing over 360 bespoke home care services, with the aim of optimizing the independence and well being of the people we care for. There are unfortunately some things we can’t do, aren’t qualified to do, or might not have the time to do during our calls. Our care professionals and office teams are commonly asked about things such as beauty, house adaptations, hairdressing and much more, and while we would love to help, sometimes it is just impossible.
This is why we have decided to create a directory of some of the best and most recommended companies in your local area. We do not directly work with any of these companies (unless stated otherwise) and we are not involved in the transaction of services, this is completely private between yourselves and that company, they are just companies that we have used, or we have spoke to about their services.
At the moment, the directory only involves companies based in Wakefield, but as we keep expanding into new locations and develop relationships with trusted companies in Barnsley, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Leeds, Lincoln, Sheffield, Rotherham, and York, we will add more companies for our clients in those areas.

KP Laundry Ltd

Podocare- Podiatry and Chiropody Centre
Podocare is a family run Podiatry service, established since 1996, they now have a team of 9 Podiatrists covering South and West Yorkshire. With a wealth of knowledge, they can determine the best course of treatment for you, creating tailor made packages to improve your foot health. You can either make an appointment at their Wakefield centre on Brook Street or you can get a home visit, for those who need treatment within the comfort of their own home. If you are having problems with your feet or have a long-term foot condition that requires specialist care, Podocare is your go to company.
